Meet Damen Yachting's

#LOVEOUROCEANS CLEAN-UP CREW

After hiring our Sustainability Manager, Moena Maggi, she was ready to make a difference. Starting on our own doorstep, her first initiative was to organise an event to collect litter from the waters and shores outside of our shipyard in Vlissingen, the Netherlands.

All employees of Damen Yachting were invited to fly the flag for #LOVEOUROCEANS and join the clean-up event, which took place on 14 September 2023. While some boarded small rowing boats to clean the quay, others were on land with litter pickers. Together, we collected approximately 220 kg of waste.

The enthusiasm and support shown by the Damen Yachting team for helping our environment will pave the way for many more positive initiatives in the future, some which will reach much further than our front door in Vlissingen. Watch this space!
